The Kadai Charcoal Maker is a unique product that enables anyone to produce their very own environmentally friendly charcoal at home.
Using the Kadai Firebowl as a heat source, the Kadai Charcoal Maker can produce 1.5kg of ethical charcoal whilst you enjoy the fire.
To make the charcoal, you simply remove the lid from the end of the Charcoal Maker, fill the container with wood, foraged sticks or split logs, place inside a fully burning fire in the Kadai Firebowl, leave overnight and the next day you will have your very own supply of charcoal ready for your next barbeque.
The innovative Kadai Charcoal Maker is cylindrical and made from iron, it measures 41cm long and a 20cm diameter, it is not only functional and environmentally sustainable but aesthetically pleasing too.
It was awarded the RHS Product of the Year Award 2011 at the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2011
Charcoal is made by heating wood in the absence of oxygen, driving off all the moisture and impure volatile gases so that you are left with a near pure form of carbon. Charcoal burns much hotter and cleaner than wood and has been used by man since the Iron Age.
